Maintenance Report: Recycle costs for us on TV’s is quite a bit higher than what we’re charging. We will need to raise our fees to $20 for all TV’s and monitors for the Spring roll off. All printer cartridges need to be removed before taking them as well.
Chairman Report: None
Supervisor Reports: Need to make sure Advanced Disposal is picking up the roll off dumpsters in a timely manner.
Clerk-Treasurer Report: Went to a Budget meeting for Clerks in Eau Claire this past Thursday.
Talked to Dunn County Treasurer about getting started with collecting our taxes on a municipal level. She stated that it’s necessary to have a strong internet connection. I don’t have a very good connection at my house and the shop doesn’t have a very good connection either. Was wondering if it would be better to have the county continue to collect for us. The cost is $2.25 per parcel. I estimate it would cost approximately $1.80 per parcel for me to collect.
After much discussion the board decided to have the county continue collecting our taxes.
Clerkwill get started on the 2017 Budget so we will have a preliminary budget to look at in October.
Committee Reports: Plan commission met this past Monday. In early November they will have the Comprehensive Plan ready to submit to Bob Colson for review.
Some discussion on road/driveway specs.
Fire/Ambulance received responses back from the bids on the building design. They will make a decision at their next meeting (October 7th, 7pm) on how they’ll proceed.
No New Business
Public Comment: Resident brought up the Ambulance service taking too long back in 2013. They have since gotten GPS in their trucks so these issues won’t happen again.
Resident questioned about dog licenses. The licenses in question were registered in 2008.
Melissa asked a question about the arrow sign on 280th. It appears to only go to the right even though you can go straight. Kevin will look into this.
Motion to adjourn meeting was made by R. Monn, 2nd by S. Nielsen. Approved.
Meeting adjourned at 7:45pm
