Maintenance Report: Truck was in for repair (coolant valves), it will need to go back as it’s still losing antifreeze. This should be under warranty.
Chairman Report: Some discussion about the truck repair
Supervisors Report: Received a few calls about power being out at the shop; this was just informative.
Clerk-Treasurer Report: Bremer Bank charging a fee with checking accounts. Balance has to be less than 2,500.00 so we shouldn’t ever need to pay this charge. Val will keep an eye out to make sure this charge is not incurred.
Committee Reports: Plan Commission – Val received a resignation letter from Josh Edhlund, effective immediately. Motion was made to accept the swearing in of Pete Holmlund and Bob Anderson for the Plan Commission.
Plan Commission met on June 8th. They discussed the new members so now they will have 5 members which will easily have a quorum of at least 3 at each meeting. They are continuing to go over the Comprehensive Plan.
Land and Water meeting is July 13, 1-3 at the Knapp Village Hall. Melissa is strongly suggesting interested parties to go to this meeting as some of their info in the letters mailed out can be misleading.
Fire/Ambulance: They have received one (out of the seven they sent) RFP’s back. They will have more meetings dealing with this and will let townships know as things progress.
New Business: Micro Creamery-Meg Wittenmeyer. Board of Adjustment will hear Meg’s Plan for a micro Creamery on July 13th. The township is required to put in an opinion regarding this micro creamery. Meg will be milking 16-20 goats. Neighbors are all in favor. Board consensus is that we see no problem with this micro creamery. Motion was made to approve this micro creamery by S. Nielsen, 2nd by R. Monn. Approved.
Contract with Advanced Disposal – (Lisa)we had asked Advanced Disposal to rewrite the contract before we signed to include the reviewing of the contract within a year and not have it automatically renew. They have also rewitten the fuel lock. A motion was made to accept the newly written contract with Advanced Disposal by R. Monn, 2nd by M. Schutz. Approved.
