Board Meeting

Board Meeting minutes of March 21, 2016

Chairman Monn called the meeting to order at 7pm at the Stanton Town Shop, Knapp, WI.

Present:  Chairman Monn, Supervisors Steve Nielsen and Melissa Schutz, Maintenance Kevin Finder and Clerk-Treasurer Valerie Windsor and townspeople Steve and Irene Link  

Motion to approve February minutes as mailed was made by R. Monn, 2nd by M. Schutz.  Approved.

Treasurer’s Report:                 Balance as of Feb. 1, 2016                                $46,652.24

                                                    February Receipts                                            $447,283.62

                                                    February Disbursements                                 $469,759.37

                                                   Book Balance as of Feb. 29, 2016                    $24,176.49

Motion to approve Treasurer’s Report as mailed was made by R. Monn, 2nd by S. Nielsen.  Approved.

Motion to approve Vouchers and Checks was made by R. Monn, 2nd by M. Schutz.  Approved.

Maintenance Report:  Josh Hoff was asking Kevin about 910th.  Josh was out measuring to get his fencing issues taken care of.  Kevin advised him to contact a surveyor to get his questions answered.

Resident called about some frost boils in the road that Knapp owns.  Kevin will call Knapp.  Also, the road we share with Town of Sherman is bad.  Kevin suggested to the Chairman of Sherman to get gravel to help for the time until frost is out.

Kevin is asking if the board wants all bridges in the township (including under 20’) to be inspected by the county as they haven’t been for some time.  Motion was made to have all bridges inspected in the township by R. Monn, 2nd by S. Nielsen.  Approved

Heater is fixed in the town shop.

Lots of issues with roads, we’ll have to “bandaid” them until the frost is out.

Kevin went to Miners Safety Class today.

Road Inspection Date is set for Wednesday, April 6th-will meet at the shop at 8am

Roll off day is set for Saturday, May 14th 9am-1pm

Chairman Report:  Received a call from a resident because a feed truck came and dug up the banned road.  Chairman called the sheriff.  Sheriff is going to talk to someone about getting scales in Dunn County.  Residents have the right to call the Sheriff with vehicle info.

Rich and Kevin went to a very informative paving meeting in Eau Claire.  Learned a few things about the oils and such they use in paving. 

Supervisor Reports:  Wondered about spacing the dumpsters out more.  Kevin can ask about that when they come again.

Clerk-Treasurer Report:  Went to a meeting about absentee voting at the county clerk’s office this past Thursday. 

Annual Meeting/Regular Board Meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 19th.  This will comply with the Annual Meeting Statutes.

Committee Reports:  Plan Commission met on the 29th of February.  They are still working on revisions for the Comprehensive Plan.

Fire/Ambulance has had a few meetings-requests for proposals went out for the contract of designing the new fire barn.

No New Business

Pubic Comment:  Resident here to let us know about vehicles blocking the roadway on 890th Ave.  Rich will call the resident and let him know the concerns.

Motion to adjourn meeting was made by R. Monn, 2nd by M. Schutz. Approved.
