Board Meeting

Board Meeting minutes of November 17, 2014

Chairman Monn called the meeting to order at 7pm at the Stanton Town Shop, Knapp, WI.

Present:  Chairman Monn, Supervisors Joel Wittenmeyer and Steve Nielsen, Maintenance Kevin Finder, Clerk-Treasurer Val Windsor and townspeople Pat Smith

Motion to approve October minutes as mailed was made by R. Monn, 2nd by S. Nielsen.  Approved.

Treasurer’s Report:             Balance on hand as of Nov. 1, 2014                     $9,885.40

                                                November Receipts                                               $51,693.63

                                                Total                                                                         $61,579.03

                                                Less November Disbursements                           $20,188.45

                                                Balance as of Nov. 30, 2014                                 $41,390.58

Motion to approve Treasurer’s Report as mailed was made by R. Monn, 2nd by J. Wittenmeyer.  Approved.

Motion to approve Vouches and Checks was made by S. Nielsen, 2nd by R. Monn. Approved.

Maintenance Report:  Bridge Petition is finished, we will get refunded half of what we paid by the county.  Kevin has been getting bucket prices for the tractor of which he has gotten several different ideas/prices.  Kevin purchased blades and will have Jim Polen put them on.  Kevin had also checked on tire prices and got (refurbished) rear ones for $267.00 each, front ones will be approximately$ 491.00 each.

Chairman Report:  Rich had a run in with Total Excavating as there have been several trucks parking on the roads and pulling out in front of vehicles.  Rich told Glen if they don’t correct this we will revisit the agreement.  We may also post “no parking, stopping, or standing” signs. Glen said he would address the drivers, but we will keep an eye on it as well.

Supervisor Reports:  None

Clerk-Treasurer Report:  None

Committee Reports:  The next planning commission meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 25th.

Fire/ Ambulance:  5 year planning committee contacted 5 Bugles and asked them to research pricing on building up vs. out.  They will be getting back to them.

New Business:  Lee Fochs is here to discuss the sample building inspector ordinance he sent out to us.  Our current ordinance states that anything added on to a building built prior to 1980 does not need to be inspected.   Rich suggested we revise our ordinance to reflect; anything that is built or added on to needs to be inspected.  Board consensus is that we will table this revision until next months meeting.

Motion was made to accept the Dunn County Humane Society 2 year contract for 2015-2016 by R. Monn, 2nd by S. Nielsen.  Approved.

Motion to adjourn was made by R. Monn, 2nd by S. Nielsen.  Approved.

Budget Hearing

Budget Hearing minutes of November 17, 2014

Present:  Chairman Monn, Supervisors Joel Wittenmeyer and Steve Neilsen, Clerk-Treasurer Val Windsor and townspeople Kevin Finder and Pat Smith

Chairman Monn called the hearing to order at 7:45pm at the Stanton Town Shop, Knapp, WI

Chairman Monn went over line items with some discussion.

Total Revenue:  $172,978.00

Total Expenditures:  $375,029.00

Levy:  $202,051.00

Mill Rate:  .003513466 

 

Motion was made to approve the proposed budget for 2015 by R. Monn, 2nd by J. Wittenmeyer.  Approved.

Motion to adjourn budget hearing was made by R. Monn, 2nd by S. Nielsen.  Approved.

Hearing adjourned at 8pm.
