Maintenance Report: Kevin is out plowing for part of the meeting. Rich mentioned an incident on 730th because of snow coming out onto the road and it needed to be pushed back which Davis’ did for us. The grater hose had several pinhole leaks which require a special wrench so someone came out to get it fixed.
Kevin will get a copy of the minutes for John Deere with the motion that we accepted getting the grapple bucket.
Kevin mentioned because of the amount of snow and more on the way and no where to go with it anymore, Jerry (or Nathan) Hoffman offered to help out with their equipment in getting the snow out of the way. The board gave Kevin the authorization to call them if necessary.
Chairman Report: Rich talked to Jesse Rintala (hwy. commissioner) about Highway 12, it should get reconstructed in 2015, with possible advancement. At this point it is a federal issue.
Meeting about bridges, culverts, ect. is on February 26 that Rich and Kevin will be attending.
Towns Association would like us to send a resolution regarding Implements of Husbandry (AB648 and SB509). These bills are a compromise package addressing the issues relating to the size and weight of “implements of husbandry”.
Rich spoke with Advanced (again) about getting the right size dumpsters here.
Supervisor Reports: Roads on 790th are getting bad from the traffic in and out of the sand pit. We need to contact them and get them going on fixing this as we have a bond with them.
Clerk-Treasurer Report: Election for tomorrow is all set to go.
Committee Reports: Plan Commission meeting – there was no quorum for the January meeting.
One of the quorum issues is that Pat Smith is out of the area until spring, if it continues to be an issue the PC will have to replace her. Due to Bob’s absence in February, there may be two meetings in March.
They are currently working on the survey to send out to residents.
Fire/Ambulance Meeting – Fire district would like to save money by not publishing the meeting times in the paper. They are in compliance by posting their meetings in 3 places. Rich’s concern is that townships would not get notified about special meetings and such. They tabled this issue until their next meeting.
There was no update on the build/remodel project due to Matt being gone.
New Business: Disaster Plan – everyone had the chance to look at the two examples handed out a few months back. Suggestion was made we keep a volunteer log sheet, and also a cost sheet. Rich also wondered about an alternate site due to the fact that cell phone reception is bad around the town shop. Rich will approach Mattison Construction to see about using their facility as an alternate.
Motion was made that we use the Town of Tiffany as an example, but will also include a volunteer sign in sheet. We will go over all and officially adopt this at the March meeting.
Christina Mayer, candidate for Dunn County Circuit Court judge, requested to be here to tell us a little about herself.
Public Comment: None
Motion was made to adjourn meeting by R. Monn, 2nd by B. Anderson. Approved.
Meeting adjourned at 7:45pm
