Board Meeting minutes for January, 2014

   

Board Meeting minutes of January 20, 2014

Present:  Chairman Monn, Supervisors Bob Anderson and Steve Nielsen, Maintenance Kevin Finder, Clerk-Treasurer Valerie Windsor.

Chairman Monn called the meeting to order at 7pm at the Stanton Town Shop, Knapp, WI.

Motion to approve December minutes as mailed was made by R. Monn, 2nd by B. Anderson. Approved.

Treasurer’s Report:            Balance on hand, December 1, 2013            $59,749.90

                                               December Receipts                                              $290.32

                                               Total                                                                   $60,040.22

                                               Less December Disbursements                     $31,099.37

                                               Book Balance as of Dec. 31, 2013                 $28,940.85

Motion to approve Treasurer’s Report as mailed was made by B. Anderson, 2nd by S. Nielsen.  Approved.

 

Motion to approve Vouchers and Checks was made by R. Monn, 2nd by S. Nielsen.  Approved.

Maintenance Report:  Kevin had someone stop from a tree cutting service in Hammond wanting work in the township; everyone agreed Kevin can take care of it at this time.

Kevin got permission from the board to get more salt/sand.  He will call St. Croix County.

He got most of the Salt/sand hauled.

 

Chairman Report:  Rich went to visit Sheriff Smith, he was gone so Rich gave copies of the Fireworks permit to the deputy and he will disperse them to the appropriate people.

Town’s Association meeting tomorrow evening.

Farmland Preservation Plan (at county level) rewrite will take place soon, Nathan Hoffman will go.

Newsletter went out.

Supervisors Report:  None

Clerk-Treasurer Report:  Primary election is set February 18th.  Will be voting on Circuit Court Judge.

Friday, February 28th is Board of Review Training at the Dunn Co. Town’s Assoc. meeting.  Rich and Bob need to be recertified for 2014.  Val and Rich will be attending.

2014 Standard Mileage Rates updated on the IRS website is .56/mile.  Board consensus was to up the mileage reimbursement for our township to .56/mile.

Statement fee from Bremer Bank will be reimbursed, however it may take a month or more to get “in the system”.

Val is wondering what to do about a fire bill that is coming back “return to sender”.  I will try a few other ways to get his correct address.

Thank you note to Kevin from Forest Hill Cemetery for plowing and sanding the cemetery. 

 

Committee Reports:  Plan Commission will meet next week.

Fire/ Ambulance:  New line item in the Ambulance budget to be carried over from year to year to be spent on an Ambulance not to be used as a “slush fund”.

New Business:  Grapple Bucket for tractor – Tractor Central pricing for the AD12D-82” grapple bucket for $5,210.00 and the hydraulic plumbing for $1,200.00. Motion was made to go with this bucket and plumbing was made by B. Anderson, 2nd by S. Nielsen.  Approved.  This will get put on sometime this spring.

Motion to adjourn meeting was made by R. Monn, 2nd by B. Anderson.  Approved.
